Care That Feels More Personal — Because It Is

What That Looks Like in Practice

This is not a high-volume clinic.

Care here is intentionally structured to allow time for meaningful, thorough visits.

  • Appointments are designed to be focused and in-depth
  • Conversations are centered around understanding, not just quick fixes
  • Care is built around the individual, not a one-size-fits-all process

Because not everything can—or should—be addressed in a standard appointment.

Why This Practice Exists

After more than two decades in medicine, one thing became increasingly clear:

While today’s healthcare system serves many people well, there are times when it can feel rushed or limited—especially when concerns are more complex or don’t fit neatly into a short visit.

But most people aren’t just looking for answers to complex problems—they also need a primary care provider they can trust for everyday health needs.

Cornerstone Family Wellness was created to care for both.

As a primary care practice, we care for individuals and families through routine visits, sick care, and ongoing health concerns—while also offering a thoughtful approach when something doesn’t feel quite right.

Rather than choosing between conventional medicine and a more functional, whole-person perspective, our goal is to bring the strengths of both together in a way that is practical, clear, and centered on the patient.

This Practice was Created for You

Primary care for your whole family

A common sense blend between conventional and functional medicine, harnessing the strengths of both.

Ones looking for a more personalized and thoughtful approach

We value time, conversation, and continuity in your care

A place to dig deeper, addressing root causes of illness rather than just treating the symptoms.

Rooted in the Community

This practice is not just about a different model of care.

It’s also about place.

I grew up in Griffin and have spent many years in Pike County. Concord has been home — and opening this clinic here was intentional.

There’s something meaningful about providing care in a community you know… in a setting that reflects a slower, more personal way of doing things.

In many ways, the space itself reflects the mission:

Stepping away from the corporate pace of medicine and returning to something more grounded, more connected, and more human.

A Different Model — On Purpose

Cornerstone Family Wellness is a fee-for-service (cash-based) practice.

That decision was intentional.

Insurance companies often require providers to follow strict guidelines in order to be reimbursed—guidelines that don’t always allow for the kind of care patients need.

By stepping outside of that system:

  • Your care is not dictated by insurance requirements
  • Time can be spent where it matters — with you
  • Pricing is transparent from the beginning
  • There are no unexpected billing surprises

You simply pay for what you need, when you need it.

What About Hospitals & Ongoing Care?

For the first time in my career, I will not be maintaining hospital privileges.

This reflects a larger shift in how hospital care is managed today, where hospital-based physician groups typically oversee inpatient care.

However, through our medical record systems, we will be able to access hospital information and continue your care through follow-up visits when needed.

Care doesn’t stop — it simply looks a little different.

Getting Started is Simple

When you’re ready to begin care at Cornerstone:

  • Scheduling is available directly through the office
  • Patient forms and resources can be completed ahead of your visit
  • Appointment options are designed to match your needs—whether that’s something straightforward or more in-depth

From the very beginning, the process is designed to feel clear, comfortable, and centered around you.

Still Deciding? That's okay.

Choosing a healthcare provider is a personal decision—and it should feel right for you.

Take your time exploring.

And if this approach feels like what you’ve been looking for —we’d be honored to care for you.
